2010 Fall Calendar
August 23 Classes and late registration begin.
August 27 Last day to add courses, switch sections, change courses, change from audit
to credit, or pay fees with late penalties. For late penalty information please
visit http://cashiering.unlv.edu.
August 27 Final day to drop or withdraw and receive a 100 percent refund (modular
classes must be withdrawn the Friday before the class begins to receive 100%
refund.) No refunds will be given after this day except for total withdrawal from
all classes.
September 3 Final day to submit graduation application with all department approvals for
fall 2010 commencement WITHOUT a late penalty fee.
September 6 Labor Day recess.
September 24 Final day to submit graduation application with all department approvals for fall
2010 commencement WITH a late penalty fee.
October 1 Final day to completely withdraw from all classes and receive a 50 percent
refund. Official withdrawal form must be obtained from the Registrar’s Office.
No refunds after this day.
October 18 Mid-semester.
October 29 Nevada Day Recess
November 1 Final day to drop or withdraw from classes without refund or change from
credit to audit, except for modular classes. Drops and withdrawals will not be
allowed after this date even with instructor approval.
November 11 Veteran’s Day recess.
November 25-26 Thanksgiving recess
Nov. 29-Dec. 4 Study week. Classes are scheduled but major written exams are not given.
December 4 Instruction ends.
December 6-11 Final examinations.
December 11 Fall semester ends.
