Timed Out Session Error (usually occurs when using HTML editor)

  1. If running Java 6 update 21, uninstall this version (this must be done first before going to step 2).
  2. Go to http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/6u20/index.html and download update 20, JRE version.
 Audio Init Failed (Wimba Voice)


This message indicates the computer's firewall software is blocking the communication to the Wimba Voice Server.  The solution is to manually allow communication to pass through the firewall.

Tracking Total Time for Assessments

When tracking student time logs for the Total Time under Assessments, the data found on the first page of the report is unreliable (see Image 1 below). WebCampus (WC) uses a formula that does not add up correctly. OIT is aware of this issue and has turned in a ticket to WC. For a more reliable data, click on the student's name. This will take you to individual sessions for the time frame selected when you generated the report. Scroll over to the right to Assessments where you will find a column titled Total Time (see Image 2 below).
